I came out when I was 16 and abandoned by my biological father. My stepdad was physically and emotionally abusive and I found drugs to cope with life. I was a slave to heroin for 10 years and have been in recovery for 5. It’s so hard some days to be all of these things and this site is a good reminder that I’m only human.
