From Airman to Guardian

My name is Katie and I am happily married to my wife of 4 years, Ashlynn. I’ve grown up as a military child and decided to make the transition into the U.S. Air Force in 2014 to follow my father’s footsteps. Let me begin by stating that personal experiences and opinions are my own and not on behalf of the U.S. Air Force or U.S. Space Force. I have absolutely loved my time in the Air Force and I’m extremely fortunate to remain on active duty status! I work in communications and I’m currently studying to earn my Bachelor’s in Information Systems Management. I was recently eligible to transfer into the Space Force and I’ll be transferring in February 2021. It’s an exciting time to be able to take part of history and contribute to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics!
