I have always been one to break barriers. I was told by my 4th grade teacher during a career day that I could NOT be a firefighter because I was a girl. I not only went on to be a firefighter but I became a Bomb Technician. I was the 52nd female Public Safety Bomb Technician in the Nation. There are only 1% of female Bomb Techs in this field. If my teacher could only see me now.
