What do the words “only human” mean to you?
Only human to me is such a raw phrase. To me it means that at the end of the day, no matter our gender, color, financial status, sexuality, how we grew up, we are all the same species and all the same on the inside. At the end of the day we are only human.
What are you passionate about?
I have a wide range of passions. Loyalty, honesty, and being kind to others even if we disagree are things that I feel extremely passionate about. I am also very passionate about music and family as well.
What makes you the happiest?
I think what makes me the happiest would have to be my children. They open my eyes daily to the innocence of a child’s mind and the freedom to dream. They are without judgements and love Hard and Unconditionally and there is no greater love to me than theirs.
In the last five years, what new belief, behavior, or habit has most improved your life?
Wow, I have grown so much in the last five years it’s hard to choose just one thing, but I would have to say probably my ability to hear an opposing viewpoint. Even if I don’t agree I’m able to hear what the person is saying and respectfully disagree rather than closing off to the idea that there may be another way to do things or closed off to the idea that I may be wrong in my viewpoint as well.
How do you keep yourself positively inspired during overwhelming times?
If I’m being honest this is something that I struggle with. It’s hard to go through the mundane motions of life and still be inspired. What I try to do though, is remind myself that every day is an opportunity for growth.
If you could spend a day in someone else’s shoes, whose would they be? Why?
Probably my dad. I think if I could spend a day in his shoes I would gain an entire new perspective on myself and be able to love myself in a greater way because I would see me through his eyes. Plus he’s a pretty awesome guy!
What book (or books) have greatly influenced your life?
I don’t really read books that are influential. I haven’t actually read a book in ages, but maybe if I were to pick a movie as silly as it sounds I would say the frozen movies.

What would be your advice to a human who just graduated from high school and was about to enter the “real world”?
Be patient with yourself and understand that you are still learning and growing and you don’t have to know all the answers just because you are an adult now.
