We are Kirstie & Christine. We are a lesbian couple from New York City that left our day jobs to backpack the world. We met through Tinder and officially met at the Gansevoort Rooftop in NY. You could say we u-hauled it and instantly moved in together…pretty lesbian of us, right? When we first met, we immediately shared our passion for travel. Kirstie had just come back from traveling abroad in Australia and was ready to leave again in October. Plans changed. We both saved up for a year and left in April 2019 on an extended trip to Asia. A few months into traveling, we discovered another passion for creative photography. We started getting more and more questions from followers about our lifestyle, how we were affording it, how we felt traveling as an LGBTQ+ couple, and if it was safe. We created Onairplanemode__ to share our adventures and inspire people to follow their passion for traveling all while celebrating who they are and who they love. We’ve been together for three years and could not be happier and excited for the adventures to come!
